Thanks for stopping by. I am Jaclyn – creator of Simplicity Lane. Simplicity Lane is a lifestyle & motherhood blog that has stemmed from my experiences of living, working & having a baby abroad mixed with my main philosophy of life: simplicity.
A bit more of background on me. In 2011, when I was working for a company that was quickly growing internationally, I set a goal that I would contribute my skill set to that company in Australia. After spending 5 years in the Canadian market, the opportunity arose to move to Australia. My then boyfriend (now husband!) was in for this adventure with me.
We relocated from Canada to Melbourne, then to Sydney and after 4 years down under, we were given the opportunity to relocate to the UK. After a quick stint in Northern Ireland, we found ourselves settled in the heart of London.
During these last 5 years, we moved all of our belongings 4 times – 2 of those times being globally – we got engaged, planned a Canadian wedding from Australia and are now welcoming a new addition in the UK (during a pandemic – but hey, aren’t we all right now?!).
Moving abroad has given me loads of experience – both personally and professionally. It has toughened me up, opened my eyes, broken me down but most importantly has given me a new appreciation to how to live a very fulfilled, happy and fortunate life, simply.
At Simplicity Lane, our Mission is simple:
To be a space for the modern-day mom to be inspired and empowered to take on the journey of motherhood in a simple way through sharing real, positive, fun & affordable approaches & experiences when it comes to all things #momlife, while reminding you to not forget about tossing back a glass of vino with the girls every once in a while.
Our Values:
POSITIVITY
